When travelling to the BVI, there are no direct flights from the USA, Canada, Europe, or South America to the British Virgin Islands' main airport, Terrence B. Lettsome Airport (EIS).
All flights must connect through another Caribbean airport on islands such as Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Kitts, or St. Maarten/St. Martin. Your travel agent or international airline will be able to assist with booking flights. If you plan to make reservations online, remember that you will have to request flights to Tortola (EIS).
From St Thomas, US Virgin Islands
From St Thomas, a short taxi ride takes you to the ferry terminal where fast and efficient ferries run between the islands.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays there is a direct ferry to Virgin Gorda which takes about an hour and a half and costs $50 per person
On the other days, the ferry will take you to Road Town, Tortola where you will pick up another ferry to Virgin Gorda.
